The Sorting Agent

Adam Turnbull’s working home for community and voluntary-sector tools — signposting for Layton, Blackpool, and the small projects built to support it. This is the current, working version while the full Layton Together site is finished properly over the coming months.

What this site is

I work in and around Layton, Blackpool — running events, building small tools, and trying to make it easier for people to find the right support. Layton Together is the community-facing side of that: a proper, professional site for it is roughly six months out. In the meantime, everything I’ve already built — the service directory, the event kits, the little admin tools — lives here, in one place, so it’s actually useful now rather than sitting unfinished.

This page also doubles as a portfolio: a plain account of the tools I’ve built, why, and what they do.

Two ways into this site

🧭 Layton Together — find support

Food, wellbeing, money advice, things to do, and a direct line to the Forward Project team if none of it fits. Built from the real local signposting work already under way.

🛠 Projects — what I’ve built

Event kits, admin-time tools, a signposting/triage concept for frontline workers, and a plain-English tool for the sector. Case studies, not sales pages.
